We the People Dissent is a series honoring resistance networks, encompassing images, crosswords, and interactive reworked civic text challenging systems of oppression through avenues of community unlearning and engagement.
The works explore systemic harm, particularly those produced by borders, surveillance, and imperial power. Familiar language and symbols are constantly disrupted: words are scrambled and recast, oaths are withdrawn, and viewers are invited to fill, refuse, overwrite, or leave blanks.
Meaning emerges collectively, where dissent becomes a necessity to move forward towards a liberatory world-making.
